Hello,
I am a Ph.D. candidate in Human-Centered Computing (HCC) Program in the Information Systems Department at UMBC. I am co-advised by Dr. Helena Mentis and Dr. Andrea Kleinsmith. My work sits at the intersection of human-computer interaction, socio-technical systems, and Multimedia Interaction. My main research interest lies in the field of computer-supported cooperative work (CSCW) and its application in health care and education. Currently, I am conducting research to investigate how distributed collaboration and coordination are better supported through imaging interaction in surgery.
I previously have conducted research within the broader field of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) at Sharif University of Technology (Iran), with the focus on human interaction with IoT-based smart environments.
